BOXER BABES
We bought Daisy from Michael Bruggenburg-Rothschild of the Merribox Boxers, based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, (she is of the Winuwuk bloodlines). He shares the kennels with a man called Lawrence Morgan-Evans, who is a big man in the Great Dane world. We met Michael through Lawrence who we know as a friend.
One day Lawrence brought some of his dogs down to his mothers house in Wales and with him was Michael and a Boxer. Well, the wife fell head over heels in love with the Boxer straight away.
I have always said that we would not get a dog until I changed jobs, as the job can and has, taken the family to live on mainland Europe. This would mean the dog having to endure quarantine on return to the UK. If we did get a dog it would be a German Shepherd as I had been brought up with them since I was a young boy. Then the Boxers came along - change of plan No 1.
The chance of us living abroad again has significantly reduced. We bought Daisy, who is a daughter of the original Boxer my wife fell in love with, towards the end of 1998. She has had a big impact on the family and we would not swap her for the world.
